We are happy to announce, that the documentary “The World of Sisi”, produced by Javada Film, is in the OFFICIAL SELECTION of the 16th IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival.
The team of the film is going to present it in person at the festival, which takes place in the picturesque City of Varna at the Black Sea (Bulgaria), 19 – 26/09/2019.
Sisi is 10 years old. She lives in the Town of Pernik along with her mother, father, her two sisters, little brother, grandmother and aunt in extreme poverty. Four years ago, the Social Services took the children into custody due to the bad living conditions. It took 40 days for their parents to bring the kids back home, but after that stress, the father got seriously ill. Sisi began to paint and sell her works in order to help her family out. Many people have started contributing to her cause. The family gets provided with firewood and a young couple has installed a water heater in their house. A stove and food supplies have been delivered. Sisi paints on.
